Did you know that Frankfort was created WAY back in 1792? That’s certainly plenty of time for this Kentucky capital to build fun attractions to visit with kids (and they’ve done pretty well!)
This is Kentucky, so beautiful nature is a given! Places like the Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary and Audoban Center are perfect for kids with their 374 acres and hiking trails, or the Salato Wildlife Education Center which can educate kids on the wildlife and environment of the area.
Want to know more about the area? Head to Kentucky History Center, with super fun hands-on history activities! Kids can even learn about the history of the buffalo in the area at the Buffalo Trace Distillery (yes parents, there’s a nip of something for you there too!)
And kids, Frankfort has those attractions only if you’re VERY good…like Rebecca Ruth Candy Factory (There may be samples to try too…)
