Sometimes its hard to find fun things to do with very small children so here is our guide to some fun things to do in Los Angeles fun with the under 5's.

The Universal Studios experience is now synonymous with Los Angeles: if you’re here, you have to go! Even though a lot of the rides are designed for older passengers there is still a lot to do for the smaller kids. Beyond it's iconic red carpet entry and just inside the famed Universal Studios Hollywood gates awaits an authentic movie magic experience filled with dynamic animated characters, thrilling action heroes, resurrected mummies, roaring dinosaurs and ogre-ish favorites.

Minimum height requirements for rides starts at 40”, but if the under 5 crowd is part of your group, you’ll find endless fun at Super Silly Fun Land, an imaginative and interactive play zone inspired by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainments blockbuster film franchise. There are also lots of walk around characters and other attractions that the little ones will still enjoy , such as Shrek 4D , animal actors and the Simpsons ride, if they are a little too small for some of the more serious rides. Another iconic set in LA is the Hollywood Wax Museum, Guinness World Record Museum and Ripley’s Believe it or not! – all across the street from one another and available by combination ticket.

Interactive elements help keep the kids involved especially in the Records Museum where you can measure up against a model of the world's tallest man, weigh off against the heaviest and attempt the world long jump record, plus get an insight into speed records with the Adrenaline Theatre simulation! For a more cerebral day, a person is never too small (or too big!) to learn about being an even better person - The Zimmer Children’s Museum is dedicated to teaching people about the BIG IDEAS of global citizenship, community responsibility, and cultural sensitivity, appropriately toned for families.

Plus the visitors to the STAR ECO Station science museum and wildlife rescue centre experience a personal guided tour with incredible hands-on lessons of ecology and environmentalism, with breathtaking encounters with beautiful tropical birds, exotic reptiles, wildcats and ocean life in a tropical jungle setting. Highlights at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens include the immersive new Campo Gorilla Reserve, and the largest known lizard in the world! With children’s zoo and tram it’s particularly suitable for buggy age kids. Santa Monica Pier and Beach have entertainments crammed into every corner, from the historic carousel to the aquarium hidden beneath it, with Pacific Park offering theme park
