Trolley tours, museums, fishing, cruises and so much more. No visit to San Diego would be complete without a trip to SeaWorld and Kayaking tours in La Jolla.
Set in almost 200 acres it is one of the best places to get up close and personal with whales, sharks, sea turtles, and pretty much everything the sea has to offer. There are also plenty of rides for those looking for a little more adrenaline! There is plenty more for animal lovers at The San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park. Over 2500 animals are housed in a fantastic zoo that is also totally committed to wildlife conservancy. They also have a Safari park for those who like to get a little closer to the action.
For all you ‘Top Guns’ out there why not visit one of America's longest-serving aircraft carriers at the USS Midway Museum. Explore this ‘floating city at sea’ and nearly 50 years of world history with over 60 exhibits and 25 restored aircraft. For smaller kids why not get out and explore the tide pools of Point Loma at low tide to find all manner of interesting sea creatures such as the shore crabs, multi-colored anemones, and various other creepy crawlies.
Little kids are never happier than with a bucket and a net in their little hands! For those looking for a little culture and education to feed those hungry minds Balboa Park area is home to some 15 museums such as the San Diego Air And Space Museum where you can witness significant articles of air and space history.
For a more active adventure, consider Coronado bike rentals. Exploring the scenic Coronado Island on two wheels is a great way to soak in the coastal beauty and enjoy the picturesque surroundings at your own pace.
