The Vanishing Point at the Vancouver Zoo is located on the north side of the Vancouver Park. The Vanishing Point is a walk-through exhibit where you come face to face with the animals as you walk through their habitat. The exhibit is divided into five areas: Polar, Amazon, Pacific Islands, Deserts and the Great Indoors. Many of the animals on display here are endangered and at risk of dying out in their natural habitats. The Great Indoors is an indoor area that features meerkats, a Tropical Rainforest that houses Toucans, sloths, and poison dart frogs, the Amazon Rainforest, the Pacific Islands where you can see cockatoos, tree kangaroos, and Galapagos tortoises, and the Deserts, which has African penguins, sand cats, and black-footed ferrets. Polar features Arctic foxes, Arctic wolves, and Arctic hares.

Ocean Live ― Vancouver Aquarium

The Vancouver Aquarium is a family-friendly attraction located on the Pacific coast, just North of Downtown Vancouver. The aquarium is home to more than 60,000 animals from over 500 different species, including endangered and threatened species. Some of the animals that you can expect to see at the aquarium include salmon, sturgeon, seals, sea lions, otters, sharks, sea turtles, rays, and many other aquatic animals. The aquarium also features many different indoor and outdoor areas, including indoor aquariums, outdoor pools, a rainforest, and a tropical centre.

Orca Discovery ― Vancouver Marine Mammal Rescue and Research‬ Centre

The Orca Discovery Centre is an interactive exhibit that showcases the work done by the Vancouver Marine Mammal Rescue and Research (VMMRR) team. The exhibit is located in the Steveston Village just outside of Vancouver. VMMRR is a non-profit society that rescues and rehabilitates marine mammals, including dolphins and porpoises, seals, and whales. The Orca Discovery Centre allows visitors to learn about their work and provide hands-on experience with marine mammals. The centre displays rescued orcas that have been injured and have been deemed un-releasable by Fisheries and Oceans Canada. The goal of the centre is to educate the public about these beautiful creatures and how they can help to protect them in the wild. The centre also has a gift shop, a cafe, and a meeting room available to rent for special events.

BC Nature ― British Columbia Children’s Discovery Centre

The British Columbia Children’s Discovery Centre is an interactive and educational exhibit that is full of fun, hands-on activities. The BC Discovery Centre hosts a variety of interactive exhibits that are designed to engage children of all ages in learning about the natural world. The Discovery Centre has over 50 exhibits that cover topics such as forests, animals, water, and safety. Many of the exhibits are designed for children aged between 2 and 6 years old.
