Have you ever experienced a giraffe or white rhino feeding? Have you ever enjoyed the thrill of a log flume at a zoo? There's a first for everything, and at ZooTampa at Lowry Park, there's a good chance you'll be ticking a few of those boxes!

ZooTampa at Lowry Park has 56 amazing acres of lush natural habitats, and those acres are made up of seven fun man exhibit areas that kids will just LOVE exploring! From the Asian Gardens, Aquatic Center, Florida Wildlife Center, to Primate World, there will be something new and fun for the kids to explore. 

Are you ready to go on safari? It's a jungle in there! At Safari Africa kids can see some amazing wildlife up close - from meerkats, zebras, elephants, to the sweet pygmy hippos...the whole family can stand on the feeding plateau and get eye to eye with even the tallest animals! (YOU can also feed the giraffes!) 

The Wallaroo Station is designed especially for families, where there is a host of interactive things to see and do! Crickey - it's an Australian adventure too! Kookaburras, cockatoos, koalas and wallabies....kids can even play in the "Billabong" water area (or ride the Tasmanian Tiger roller coaster!) A great introduction to the great land of Oz!

And yes, the ZooTampa at Lowry Park has RIDES! There are seven rides which are included in your admission. Bump the day away with Outback Bumper Boats, or enjoy a guided safari tour with behind-the-scenes views of dozens of African animals!

Doing our bit

All of the animals natural habitats and fun and engaging for the animals. The zoo makes sure it promotes safety for both the visitors and the animals. The Animal Department are always looking for ways to enhance the lives of the animals. What a great zoo - they LOVE their animals!

Do they have baby facilities?

There are two exciting water play areas designed for those little ones to cool off, or you can stop at their many rest areas, including the Fisher Price Mommy Stop, a special place designed with mothers and babies in mind. Stroller rentals are a first come, first serve basis.

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at ZooTampa at Lowry Park?

It's not just the giraffes that will be well fed! The zoo has a wide selection of food and drinks to keep your energy up. You can even have family dining with a few of the giraffe, zebra and elephant habitat - now that's a dining view!

Any top tips when visiting?

Make sure you check out the shows when you arrive, and plan ahead so you don't miss any feedings or experiences you might want to be a part of.

Does ZooTampa at Lowry Park have a gift shop?

There are PLENTY of gift shops where you can spend your pocket money and take home some amazing gifts, from stuffed toys, backs, games and books. You can also "adopt" your favorite animals, where you money contributes to looking after the animals!

Teachers corner

The zoo is always happy to assist in your schools excursion! What a great way for students to learn all about the animals and their natural habits and habitats. They offer scout programs, as well as overnight camps.

Garden Grille offers healthy salads and wraps, and there are plenty of places to enjoy some water to rehydrate.

Is ZooTampa at Lowry Park fully accessible?

There is parking for disabled guests in the front lot, and the pathways, facilities and exhibits are all designed for those who have mobility disabilities. So everyone can enjoy the zoo!

Any additonal information?

Kids ages 1 to 14 can have their birthday party at the zoo! What better way to spend your big celebration than with some of the worlds most amazing animals!?
