Zootah
About Zootah
It's an animal-tastic family day out in Utah with Zootah, where kids can come face to face with their favorite creatures and enjoy unforgettable experiences! The zoo is a place where kids can not only learn about the animals and their habitats, but enjoy hands-on fun too. We love the sound of that!
Zootah isn't one of the biggest zoos in the USA, but it's charming, and offers some great additional events that are perfect for the whole family. The Wildlife Learning Center holds weekly storytime sessions, where kids can hear stories as well as see an animal up close, and even enjoy some crafts!
Parents, there is something for you too with parents night outs where you can enjoy time with each others and those kiddies over 3 years can enjoy dinner, a movie, and even some games!
There are great seasonal activities too, such as getting your photograph taken with a reindeer. How fun is that!
But of course, Zootah is about the animals first and foremost, so let's explore them! Kids can see those familiar creatures such as coyotes, bobcats, and the North American Elk, right down to the smallest of hedgehogs and kinkajous!
There are creepy crawlies for those kids who love seeing skinks, iguanas, snakes and turtles, and even grand birds of prey - try and spot the bald eagle! The zoo even has an impressive 5 species of goose, and 8 species of pheasants! Who knew there were that many!
So let's go and enjoy a family day out in Utah where you arrive with just your family, but leave with quite a few more friends!

The Willow Park Zoo has been part of my life for a long time. I would go to the zoo as a little boy and pay a dime to get food so that I could feed the ducks in the pond and I loved doing that as a little boy. Now that I am a dad I still can go and pay a dime and watch my son feed the ducks like I did so long a go. It is a zoo that you can go to and make memory's with your kids that they will remember as well, and that is what I love about this zoo. Please go and support are wonderful zoo.P.S Bring lots of DIMES

1st of all, I want to mention don't try calling ahead. They won't answer or call you back if you need any information or find out how to get there. Willow Park Zoo is beautiful though. It's small (took us 45 minutes to get through), but well put together and well taken care of. It's more like an aviary but has some cool animals like Reindeer and a white raccoon. It's near a water park, golf course and other parks, etc.

We got lost finfing it and no one would help us...

There were TONS of trees to shade us while we were enjoying looking at the animals (unlike at SLC's Hogle Zoo). I really enjoyed seeing some rare animals like the white raccoon and the albino porcupine. I was surprised to see the awesome yellow-afro-haired Grey Crown Cranes from Africa. I really liked seeing the caribou reindeer and the duck ponds had some interesting species. The kids had a BLAST feeding the ducks. No, it's not nearly as big as Hogle Zoo, but it was very nice and a good price and the lady at the ticket booth was extremely friendly and asked us at the end of our visit if there were other things we would like to see in the zoo.
