Zoo New York at Thompson Park 4.0 (reviews)

The Zoo New York at Thompson Park has over 32 acres for beautiful, endangered and threatened animals to call home.  The intriguing wolverines, beautiful bears and majestic eagles are all waiting for you to come and say hi!

The zoo is much more than a place where you can learn and enjoy the animals - they have a heap of other fun programs and activities for you to do!

The family programs are great for all ages which you can enjoy together.  There is the Animal Enrichment program once a month where they provide activities and treats which challenge and engage their friendly zoo animals - in other words they keep them happy!  They pack up a box of goodies just for them - one month might be the rare wolverine and the other month it might be the regal wolf - and then you get to join them as they find and play with their new toys!

For those howlers aged 5 and over there is the Howl and Prowl where you get to learn about all things that go BUMP in hte night!  Nocturnal animals are fascinating but they come out when you are tucked up all asleep, so this way you can learn about these cute creatures through games and activities.

For those smaller zoo lovers, they have special age-appropriate programs like the Storytime Safari and Nature's Nursery which allow kids to really discover what the zoo is all about! For those budding artists they can join Art with the Animals once a month on Sundays where they can create wonderful artwork based around the animals they are learning about! 

They offer programs for teen and adults too, as well as Zoofari Day Camps during summer for kids in grades K - 5, and each week they explore a different theme.
