York Area Children's Museum
About York Area Children's Museum
York Area Children’s Museum is a fun, colorful and most importantly safe place for kids to spend the day learning and playing. Each exhibit area has its own character which really encourages their creative sides.
The craft room is where their creatives sides can run wild as they explore this jungle themed area. Colorful crayons, fun stickers and other creative craft items are available for those kids who like to get their hands messy as they create a masterpiece.
For those budding scientists fascinating microscopes are just one of the items available to really get hands on with in the science room.
Then there is the “big room” - do want to know what is in the big room? We thought so! Where to start....for toddlers there is a great little area where games such as chunky puzzles and easy manipulative toys can be found.
Above toddler area is a tree house (yes a treehouse!) which is great for keeping an eye on the toddlers, reading, but also features lovely wooden toy sets such as a toy farmstead and firehouse for kids to play with.
There is a beautiful and engaging playhouse for girls who want to be mommy for the day, a veterinary clinic where puppies and kitten await someone to come and look after them, the Cornerstone Bank where kids can learn about depositing and banking, and a construction zone where bricks, slides and conveyor belts will really keep them entertained!
