About YogaYAMA Kids Yoga Classes

Check out YogaYAMA! YogaYAMA is a class for kids that includes yoga poses, breathwork, and storytelling. It is fun, active, and enhances social-emotional skills.

Benefits include:

  • reduced anxiety
  • reduced impulsivity
  • improved confidence
  • more positive relationships
  • increased ability to focus
  • strengthened emotional resilience

We use movement, storytelling, and conversation to teach emotional resilience, character, and connection. Each class features a story that incorporates character-building concepts from yoga philosophy.

Yoga philosophy for kids?

At the foundation of all yoga practice are 10 yoga principles. They are the five yamas (universal, pro-social values) and the five niyamas (personal skills essential for emotional resilience). These 2,000-year-old insights into the human condition continue to assist our personal development to this day.

These principles (including honesty and generosity) are simple enough for children to embrace (in fact, they often come naturally!).  Our stories show how following these principles lead to a healthier sense of self and better relationships with others.

Drop in, or empower your child by joining our certification program. The next program begins in September 2023.

Our classes are available in-person and online.

Ideal for children ages 5-10.
