Did you know that Yellowstone National Park was the WORLD's FIRST national park ever? Pretty amazing! It was established in 1872, and since then it has been the focus of travelers for many years.
So it makes sense that the Yellowstone Historic Center was set up. This fascinating attraction showcases the connection of the cultural heritage, as well as the development of transportation and all those who visit the park.
As you explore this center, you can learn all about the stories of growth and changes that occurred in the town as it really grew into the community that you know today. You can learn all about the railroad development, what it meant, and even see historic photographs that show you what life was life as this was all happening!
The forms of transporation through Yellowstone National Park have really developed - from horses and stagecoaches, right through to modern airplanes. Pretty cool!

The permanent exhibits include showcasing the struggle between visitors and the local bears in the area, the brilliant era of stagecoaches, and even the young women who traveled to Yellowstone singing!
