The Witte Museum is a fascinating San Antonio museum where you can explore all things science, natural history, and of course - South Texas heritage (after all, you are in South Texas!)
There are a number of permanent and travelling exhibits which are aimed specifically at families, so you can explore, learn, and have fun!
How about learning all about the human body? The H-E-B Body Adventure is a revolutionary experience with four floors of interactive adventure s- no matter what your age! You can even examine a life-size human body!
This area was created by the University Health System, so they also explore food - and how exciting if you can participate in a live cooking demonstration! There are also culinary nights that you can join in, AND kids summer camps all about food!
How about some history! Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to live in South Texas in the 1800s? The Log Cabins and Historical Homes lets you explore a number of log cabins that were actually brought in from around Texas. How different is it from your house you live in today? Pretty different we might imagine!
You can learn about cowboys and outlaws, or you can learn about the 300,000 artifacts they have from the art world.
There are changing exhibits too, so there will always be something new for you to explore on your next visit.

Any top tips when visiting?
Admission is free on Tuesdays from 3pm until 6pm. Please note that some special exhibits may have an additional fee or surcharge.
Does Witte Museum have a gift shop?
The Museum Store has a range of books, gifts, toys and clothing to name a few, that you can take home!
Teachers corner
The museum is a great way for the students to extend their education outside of the classroom. There are interactive student programs that you can participate in, as well as student workshops
