About Turtle Bay Exploration Park

Turtle Bay Exploration Park is 300 acres of educational, natural and WILD fun for the family, with a museum, forestry & wildlife center, arboretum AND botanical gardens! In fact, Turtle Bay Exploration Park celebrates far Northern California and what it means to the world!

Let's start with Turtle Bay Museum! This museum is the hub of the Exploration park, and is the first stop on your adventure. Here you can explore permanent exhibits about the region, as well as changing exhibitions that tell the stories from all over the planet.

You can see a fascinating art collection, as well as uncover what lives beneath the waters in the River Aquarium! Home to more than just fish, there is 22,000 gallons of aquatic life, along with birds and mammals (beavers!) who thrive in the water systems.

Who said discovery needs to be ABOVE ground? The Turtle Bay Museum also features a cave, with a boardwalk taking you past bats and spiders who have adapted to underground life

What was life for early settlers in the region? Find out how and why people moved and discover life as a pioneer in another exhibit!

Then you have the Turtle Bay Wildlife! There are over 64 different species in the park, with many native to North America, with a year-round aviary, plus grey fox, bobcats, eagles, owls, skunks and SO much more!

Let's not forget about the beautiful gardens! Across the Sundial Bridge you'll find the arboretum and botanical gardens, great for enjoying the sun!

A beautiful nature filled, historic adventure and wildlife filled day out at Turtle Bay Exploration Park - so let the adventures begin!
