It's all about the wonders of aviation at the Florida Air Museum This fascinating museum displays a variety of REAL collections, so kids can come face to face with some very cool and historic aircraft.
There are vintage aircraft, ultralights, air racers, experimental homebuilts, factory-built aircraft and even military. It's a journey through aviation history!
You can go back as far as 1909, and right to the present day the history is told through the amazing collection.
The Florida Air Museum is home to a number of exhibits that include the Howard Hughes Aviation Collection, the Florida Aviation History, the Florida Aviation Hall of Fame, and Lakeland in WWII.
There are even Rockets and High Speed Flight, as well as Air Racing and Aerobatics.
Kids, have you heard about Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart? The Florida Air Museum actually have artifacts related to them. Fancy a real flight experience? Head to the multiple Flight Simulators!
It's a tribute to the history and joy of flight highlighting pioneers such as Howard Hughes, early air racers, and countless Floridians who have influenced the world of aviation.
The Museum also offers a variety of unique year-round educational experiences for all ages including camps, tours, workshops and speaker presentations.
