About The Caddo-Pine Island Oil and Historical Museum
The museum exhibits items concerning the region's famous oil history, the associated growth of area oil-boom towns, the railroad, and previous local Native American settlement. The museum also maintains an extensive local history library and collected photographic archives. In 1997 the museum was added as a state museum under the Louisiana Secretary of State.
