Welcome to The Building For Kids...and it's exactly that - it's a place just for kids!
The Building For Kids in Appleton exists just to empower children, engage the parents, and re-energize kids into being creative, learning, and experimenting. It's a museum to excite kids!
The interactive exhibits within The Building For Kids are each designed specifically for their development, and enjoyment. They can outsmart the dragon and save the castle in a mini golf adventure, or perhaps they want to create something fun in the da Vinci studio.
The Imagination Playground is perfect for those future builders and engineers where they can create masterpieces with blocks and other items, or they could channel their inner pilot at fly a Gulfstream!
From saving the day in their very own fire trucks, to visiting the Diner in Kids Town, or sliding down arteries as they learn about the human body - there is something that will connect with every child!
What will you find on a visit to The Building for Kids? You never know! It might be an appearance by a children's book character, a scientist doing the "impossible", or maybe that one art project that ignites a new passion in your child.

It's always a good idea to grab something to eat in the area before you arrive, so the focus can be on the learning and fun, and not rumbling tummies!

They sometimes open on Mondays during school holidays and other special events, so keep an eye out!
Does The Building for Kids have a gift shop?

Teachers corner
They offer Discovery Class field trips for those under 12 years. Great self-directed, hands-on and open-ended experiences that meet curriculum standards
Is The Building for Kids fully accessible?
Free admission for children on the autism spectrum, and families. Arrive 9am - 10am Saturdays, but you can stay all day
