About Texas State Aquarium

Are you ready to take a trip into the wonders of our waters? At Texas State Aquarium, the whole family can explore the amazing creatures that live beneath the oceans, rivers and lakes of the world, and you don't even need to get wet!

Travel an aquatic journey from the shore to the depths of the Gulf of Mexico and beyond. Texas State Aquarium is home to thousands of creatures that represent over 300 species. Pretty impressive!

Throughout the aquarium there are a host of impressive exhibits that are ready to be explored. Kids can watch those gracious sharks, and see those adorable sea turtles live among snapper, tarpon, redfish and grouper.

The Blue Hole exhibit showcases the often unseen habitat of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, which is a deep underwater cavern that can reach hundreds of meters below sea level.

There's a coral reef exhibit that shows families how complex and beautiful and yet fragile the oceans ecosystems are, giving kids an appreciation of why it's so important to look after our incredible underwater worlds.

The H-E-B Caribbean Sea exhibit gives a thrilling look at the ocean's most infamous predators with the experience of diving in a real-life shipwreck, and no, you don't have to get wet! We're talking of course about those graceful reef sharks that swim below the surface.

You can see dolphins at play in the Dolphin Bay, kids can get hands-on in the jellyfish touch area, and even learn about the creatures that live in the nearby rainforests and shores!

An adventure in the deep, Texas State Aquarium is where you will see the weird, the wonderful, and the beautiful all in front of your very eyes.

Let's take the plunge!
