Sunset Ranch Hollywood offers an escape from the bustling city of Los Angeles, without having to leave the city! It's located in the heart of Hollywood - between Universal Studios and the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
Offering families a great day out since 1929, Sunset Ranch provides friendly guides and beautiful horses to ensure you and your family have a memorable experience.
Don’t let the name fool you - Sunset Ranch offers day trips (1 or 2 hours) or evening tours (3 departure times) for two house. If you’re feeling peckish you can book the dinner tour which is a completely worthwhile 4 hour ride through the stunning and iconic Griffin Park, or the BBQ tour where you ride up over two hours to the highest point in Griffith Park and indulge in food, music, and the most breathtaking views of the city. The BBQ tour only operates once a month so make sure you book ahead!
This adventure it suitable for all those animal lovers aged 8 and up, and whilst reservations aren’t required it would guarantee you a spot on the tours which are often fully booked.
It's an amazing day out with the family, seeing the city of Los Angeles like you will never have seen it before! And pairing up your experience with some adorable animals can't hurt either!

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Sunset Ranch Hollywood?
Waters and sodas are available, and if you book the Dinner or BBQ tours food is available (food on the BBQ is included in the cost of the tour). Feel free to bring your children's favourite snacks though!
Any top tips when visiting?
Riders must wear long pants and closed toe shoes. During the summer months-don’t forget your sunscreen. A jacket would be a good idea for the evening rides too!
There is a 240 lb weight limit. Guests with recent injuries, surgeries, and guests who may be pregnant should wait to recover before joining the rides.
Does Sunset Ranch Hollywood have a gift shop?
If you absolutely loved your visit (which we know you will!) you can pick up fun souvenirs such as t-shirts and shorts from the ranch, which you could always wear on your next visit!

Sunset Ranch always loves welcoming inner-city kids who want to come and learn about riding, horses, nature, and the history of the ranch.

The staff will be happy to accommodate any food allergies your family may have, and of course will do their best to cater for any specific food requests!

The ranch is located on the top of a steep hill that, while walkable, might be challenging for anyone with restrictions such as walkers and wheelchairs.

You should plan on arriving 15-30 minutes prior to the time of your reservation. Tours go out on the hour and you need to allow time for parking, paperwork and to be assigned a horse. Arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the time of your reservation.
