Love history? Love Minnesota? Then you might just love the Stearns History Museum, which offers two floors of fascinating exhibits dedicated to the history and culture of central Minnesota!
Set across 80 acres of nature park, there are some pretty cool artifacts and displays that the family can check out to showcase the rich history of the area, and showcase the people and events that shaped the region to be what it is today!
The Bucket Brigade exhibit features a real 1929 Ahrens Fox Fire Truck, where kids can learn about the early methods of firefighting. Kids will have the opportunity for some hands-on fun too, as they try on a fire coat, hat and boots worn by firefighters. Don't forget that selfie too!
Fashion is covered within the museum as you Navigate the 70s, through clothes, furniture and toys that continue to inspire todays styles.
Stearns History Museum covers the relationship of the Germanic heritage and WWI, as well as their contributions to the war including knitting sweaters for servicement, manning factories and farms and even planting victory gardens!
Exhibits also including showcasing the impact of the changing landscapes through development, what the natural world was like throughout the area before development, and even important figures that made great impacts on the region.
Don't miss a visit to the children's room within the museum either. Suited for kids aged 1 to 5, here they can enjoy activities to encourage play through learning including a kiddie mart, kiddie diner and more!

They would LOVE to host your school tour! Chaperones (min 1 per 10 students) & bus drivers are free, there is on-site bus parking AND students are only $2 each!
