About Staten Island Zoo

The biggest “little” zoo in America, the Staten Island Zoo showcases more than 1,100 animals nestled in a beautiful eight-acre park.

Enjoy a day out in The Staten Island Zoo visiting all sort of attractions, showcasing animals from all over the world.

Kids can spend the day in a beautiful Tropical forest, or impressive African Savannah. There are exhibits filled with exotic species such as red panda, bobcats and reptiles. The Birds of Prey showcase some of the most beautiful birds in the world, and there are exhibits that teach kids about conservation, including the Amur Leopard Habitat.

Make sure you make a trip Down Under and visit the cassowaries and kangaroos!

It's not just the exotic species that you can meet too. You can visit the horse barn, or enjoy some Pony rides too.

Staten Island Zoo also has a great spot just for those little ones with the Kids Korral, giving them some playtime too.

Throughout the year, the Zoo provides numerous pre-scheduled public programs during off hours and on weekends, so keep an eye out!

In 2018, the Zoo’s Aquarium will be completely renovated as a breath-taking floor-to-ceiling exhibit to immerse visitors in the life cycles of the seven seas.

A fun, family day out where you can go WILD with the wildlife!
