Founded in 1881, NYC's only general interest museum - and Staten Island’s hometown Museum - explores the arts, natural science, and local history through exhibitions and welcomes over 73,000 adults and school children to a comprehensive array of programs.

It's only two blocks from the Ferry Terminal, and kids can embark on a voyage through time in a number of exhibits that tell the story of the surrounding area, and how it came to be how it is today!

You can enjoy a glimpse of the unique history and people of Staten Island, and even explore the art that has been created over the years by the many people who have lived here. Kids can learn about species that no longer exist, or see some amazing wonders of Mother Nature such as glow in the dark rocks!

Some of the exhibits change too, which means you can always go back and see something new time and time again!
