About Stanley Hotel Tours
Kids, are you ready to learn a lot of history, see some amazing scenery and maybe even encounter something....spooky?
If you're in Colorado, then an experience with the Stanley Hotel Tours should be on your list!
The Stanley Hotel is most known for being the inspiration for author Stephen King, who wrote The Shining after being inspired by his spooky experience during his stay. Now, you can get to know the hotel as he did, and maybe see something a little out of the ordinary too!
There are two tours that you can take at The Stanley Hotel. The day tour is suitable for kids over 5 years, and it really brings to life the history and architecture of the hotel. It might even bring to life some of the notable spirits that reside there too!
This guided tour will take you through the beautiful state rooms, as well as the hallways of the fourth floor. You can even head to the tunnel that allowed the servants to enter and exit the building unseen!
This tour will also of course, tell you all about how The Stanley Hotel inspired Stephen King's fictional Overlook Hotel.
If you want to be a little more adventurous, then check out the night tours! Suitable for children over 10 years, this tour takes you around corners a little bit more darker, and spaces a little bit more lively! This night tour will introduce you to the "active" phenomena, and even give you an insight into the spirit folklore that surrounds the century old hotel.
In fact, you will even learn how to interact with these type of activities, but of course not intended to prank or scare!
The hotel itself it a sight in itself, and taking one of the Stanley Hotel Tours will give you a deeper insight into it's history, and a richer appreciation of such a Colorado landmark!
