About Springfield Walks

Springfield is an incredibly fascinating city, with so much history oozing out of every corner! Springfield Walks offer a number of very interesting tours which are perfect for kids aged 5 and up.

The Abraham Lincoln Site Tour (Lincoln was a HUGE figure in Springfield's history - but you will find out more about that when you take the tour!) is a half-day guided tour which takes you and your family to the three main Abraham Lincoln sites across the city. It gives you a really insight into the history of Lincoln's life in this amazing city.

Between sites, you get to listen to fun and interesting stories from your guides! You can find out how and why Lincoln ended up in Springfield, why he became a lawyer, and his personal life, including his marriage and home life. Pretty cool huh!?

Want something a bit more...spooky? Of course! The Lincoln Ghost Walk: Legends & Lore is a 90 minute tour that takes you around 10 blocks, using the famous Lincoln sites as a backdrop. You will hear bizarre and strange stories which surrounded his life...and death!

Did you know he has prophetic visions and dreams? Did you know Mary had seances in the White House? This tour is great for all ages and it's more strange than scary!

Sorry...did you want something scary? Okay then! The Haunted History Tour lets you really experience the tales of the city...and those who might still be around! You hear all about the haunted history, and visit a hidden cemetery! Make sure you bring your cameras! They will also have some basic EMF meters and dowsing rods just to try and see if you might find someone else to hear stories from...BOO!

A great way to see and learn about a city that is such an integral part of American history!
