About Southwicks Zoo

Ready for a day of animal fun in Massachusetts? Southwick’s Zoo has you covered!

Southwick’s Zoo is a beautiful seasonal zoo, home to over 150 different species of animals from ALL around the world!

The exhibits at the zoo allow all who visit to really get an up close and personal look at these amazing creatures. These animals are also held in ver naturalistic settings, so not only are the animals happy, but the kids can gain a better understanding of what life would have been like in the wild.

The animals that kids will get to meet during their WILD family day out include the African leopard, alligators, camels, tigers, wallaby, tapir, primates, deer, zebra, llamas, ostrich and kangaroos, just to name a few.

Kids can see their favorites, including the white rhino and the tow-toed sloth, but then they might just learn about some they never knew about. Any idea what coatimundi or muntjac are? There’s only one way to find out!

If you love those colorful birds or scaly reptiles, the zoo has you covered too!

But did you know that it’s not just animals at Southwick’s Zoo. Nope! The Skyfari Sky Ride takes you over the Deer Forest, then up close to the Chimp Exhibit. You can chug along in the Woodland Train Express, or challenge yourself on the Soaring Eagle Zip Line!

There are pony rides, camel rides and even kiddo rides for those little ones. These activities have an additional cost, so just check out all the prices before you go!
