About Sombrero Ranches

Saddle up kids, it's time to channel your inner cowboy and cowgirl with Sombrero Ranches! Yee haw!

Sombrero Ranches are an amazing way to not only have a beautiful horseback ride, but also explore some of the most beautiful scenery in the country! The stables can be found in Estes Park, in the foothills to the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Never been on a horse before? Doesn't matter! Been riding since you were 5 years old? Great! No matter what your experience is on a horse, the wonderful team at Sombrero Ranches will choose the perfect horse for you, and guide you through all you need to know.

They have horses for youngsters too (kids as young as 2 years old can double up with parents) so it really can be a family adventure.

Set on 100 acres of private trails, it's the perfect way to explore the area just like the pioneers did all those years go! Following your guide, you make your way at walking speed through thick forested slopes, past pristine mountain streams, and of course all in view of those stunning Rockies.

Keep your eyes peeled kids, because there might be some wildlife hiding nearby too! From the adorable chipmunks, to elegant deer and Elk, to the cheeky bobcats and coyotes, you might just be lucky enough to spot some!

Sombrero Ranches in Estes Park have a number of rides that you can choose from. If you just want a taste of it, the 1 hour is perfect. For a deeper exploration of the area, the 2 hour really gives you that sense of adventure. If you want that true cowboy experience, check out the breakfast and steak fry rides. Here you can chow down on delicious grub in the grassy eating area, surrounded by nature!

What's great about Sombrero Ranches is that the staff are so friendly and helpful, and can't wait to give you that amazing experience. They are there with you the whole time if you have any questions, and you will never go faster than a walk so you can really enjoy the scenery, and feel comfortable with the whole experience.

Family Days Out recently visited the Estes Park location and took a 2 hour ride, and it was unforgettable. Highly recommended for any family, giving kids an experience they will never forget!

Depending on how hungry your kids get, if you are on the 2 hour ride you might want t take a little snack in your saddle bag. If you select the breakfast or dinner rides, you get to tuck into delicious cowboy grub in their amazing grassy cookout area!
