Michigan has some amazing beaches, so why not spend a day at one!

Silver Beach County Park can be found at the mouth of the St. Joseph River, and has a beautiful wide beach on Lake Michigan, as well as public access to the South Pier.

Grab those swimming trunks - it's time to make a SPLASH!

Silver Beach Country Park is a favorite destination for beach lovers as well as families who just love to stroll along the water, because there is plenty to do other than swim.

However - swimming is SO much fun so let's start with that! Did you know that of the park's 2,450ft of Lake Michigan coast, there is 1,600 ft dedicated for public swimming during summer? Plenty of space to accommodate ALL the families who want to visit!

Grab those inner tubes and inflatable water mattresses, and sense of fun, and just relax out in the sun!

Parents, there is no need to worry because there are lifeguards on duty at certain times, and you'll know when they are because water safety flags will be posted at each Lifeguard tower.

In addition to swimming, active kids can enjoy some beach volleyball, or at the end of a long day the whole family can enjoy a beautiful sunset stroll.

Those active kids will love the playground structures - not one, but THREE! One of the playgrounds are just for kids aged 2 to 5, and one is for 5 to 12 years, so you can make sure your children are playing on the ones best suited to them. 

The red and blue boat play structure is located on a rubber-like cushioning surface that is wheelchair accessible. Here children can imagine themselves a part of a ship's crew as they communicate through nautical talking and listening tubes!

Shade shelters and seating are located for parents near all three structures, so it really can be a family experience!
