Savannah Botanical Gardens
About Savannah Botanical Gardens
The Savannah Botanical Gardens offer a relaxing and peaceful natured based day out for the family! Plus, with the gardens offering free admission, there is simply no excuse not to visit!
The Botanical Gardens were actually conceived and designed in the late 1980s, an effort entirely executed by volunteers.
Located just minutes from Savannah's Historic District, the Savannah Botanical Gardens include both formal and naturalistic plantings. In addition, kids always love to visit the two acre pond!
The Botanical Gardens are more than just plants. You can visit the amphitheater, as well as spend some times strolling along the nature trails just simply taking it all in.
There is also a fascinating archaeological exhibit that is worth exploring and of course you have the historic Reinhard House.
The historic Reinhard House was built near present-day downtown Savannah for the Reinhard family around 1840, and is yet another example of Savannah's rich history.
So kids, are you excited to spend the day surrounded by the beauty of nature? We are too, so let's get those walking shoes on and head to the Savannah Botanical Gardens!
