Santa Monica State Beach
About Santa Monica State Beach
Santa Monica is one of the most popular destinations to anyone living or visiting the great city of Los Angeles, and Santa Monica State Beach is a huge reason why!
Santa Monica State Beach is the city's most beautiful natural attraction, with 3.5 miles of lovely sandy coastline to play on. With 340 days of sunshine a year, you can have more than one family day out here for sure!
The beach is a great way for active kids to get out all that extra energy that we know they have! They can play in the water, build sandcastles, explore and run. But Santa Monica State Beach is so much more than just sand!
There are fun and athletic activities all along the beach front, which include trying to catch a wave in the surf, and practicing your swimming in the beautiful ocean. Maybe you want to try your hand at beach volleyball or ride along on your bike on the bike paths.
Parents, you don't need to worry because lifeguards are posted all year round, so you know that there is always someone on duty to watch your playing kids!
The pier, of course, is nearby too and has a host of fun attractions such as a theme park, boats, rides, an aquarium and an arcade.
Did you know that Santa Monica State Beach has a number of beach parks to? Each one is a few acres in size, and each have a range of attractions from children's playgrounds, picnic tables, cafes, tennis courts and even a basketball court.
Get that sunscreen out, get those active kids ready and get out into the sunshine to enjoy California as it should be enjoyed!
