San Diego Air And Space Museum
About San Diego Air And Space Museum
The countdown for take off is on for the San Diego Air & Space Museum!
This impressive museum is where you learn about, and celebrate, aviation and space flight history through a number of exhibits, presentations, and hands-on experiences. You can also be inspired by the men and women who forged aerospace history too!
Of course, what would an aviation museum be without ACTUAL aircraft on display, and San Diego Air & Space Museum doesn't disappoint! You can go back through the history books with reproductions of the Wright Gliders from the turn of the century (that's where aviation all began, kids!), and even see an actual Apollo command module (that's been up in space!)
There are US Army helicopters on display, as well as actual GPS satellites, and of course super impressive aircraft, from the Catalina to the PT-1
Then of course you have the exhibit galleries, where kids can learn all about World War II and World War I, and the roles aircraft and pilots played in the conflicts.
Explore the "Golden Age" of aviation, when death-defying loops and manoeuvres were all the rage, and uncover the early space program and what actually went into humans first exploring a world outside out atmosphere.
