About Saint Louis Science Center

The Saint Louis Science Center offers a place where anyone and everyone can visit to explore the wonders of science and the natural world, all through discovery, interaction and curiosity!

Whilst some special programs have a fee, the science center and exhibits within are free, which is amazing.

Kids can begin to learn and understand the world around them, and families can experience the remarkable natural world all together in a nurturing child-friendly environment.

The exhibits throughout love to welcome those aha moments for kids that launch a million questions, an no question is wrong! Questions as infinite and strange as the cosmos, and answers that are just as thrilling to explore!

Kids can test the laws of physics in live Amazing Science Demos, or sneak by a life-sized animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex - ROAR!

They might prefer to explore the night sky uninterrupted by city lights, or even build a replica of the Gateway Arch.

At Saint Louis Science Center - anything is possible!

Don't miss a visit to The Discovery Room which helps kids focus on the fundamentals of science and tech, and also offers a learning resource for parents, children and teachers.

The Saint Louis Science Center also features a planeterium and ominmax cinema.

Collect your limited edition Saint Louis Science Center collector pins at the main desk in the front lobby. Each pin is between $1 and $3!

Does Saint Louis Science Center have a gift shop?

ExploreStore in the Main Lobby is a 2,500-square-foot gift shop where you can pick up a variety of apparel, educational products, games, and souvenirs.

You also have the Planetarium Shop perfect for budding astronomers, scientists and seasoned science enthusiasts! Here you can find a range of space-themed items, including gifts, plush, and apparel.

Teachers corner

When you bring at least 10 people to the Saint Louis Science Center, you save on featured experiences like OMNIMAX® Theater films, McDonnell Planetarium shows, special exhibitions and so much more.

The Science Center is the perfect place to bring your group. From schools and youth organizations to senior and tour groups, there’s a light bulb moment waiting for everyone.

They welcomes visitors of all backgrounds and ability levels. The museum is accessible to visitors with disabilities, as well as visitors with strollers, scooters, and walkers.

Elevators and ramps serve all public areas, including the OMNIMAX® Theater, McDonnell Planetarium, and GROW Pavilion and Gallery. Convenient wheelchair-accessible seating for the OMNIMAX is available via the third floor theater entrance.

Wheelchairs are free to rent and are available in the lobby.
