Rex Museum
About Rex Museum
Most places in the US have a rich and colorful history, and Gallup is no different, so why not explore this past at the Rex Museum?
Even the building itself has a fascinating history to it. It was once a brothel, and later a grocery store, today the museum building is home to a number of exhibits that detail the local history.
Kids can learn all about the area's earliest inhabitants (how long ago do you think the area was first lived in, kids?), find out about the mining history and railroad activities, right up until present day.
If you're a family who loves to research, the Rex Museum is also a great place to check out an inventory of local graves, old photographs, artifacts and of course books about Gallup's history.
So take a walk through the past at the Rex Museum, and you never know what you might find out that will surprise you!
