About Red River Zoo

Did you know that Red River Zoo specialize in exotic and native animals from all around the world, that have similar climates to the Red River Valley?

Kids can not only learn about these amazing creatures, but also the geology of the world too!

When you visit the Zoo you will see many animals that are rarely seen at other zoos such as Tanuki, East Caucasian Tur, White-lipped Deer and Pallas Cats. Have you ever heard of those species kids? Well, now is your chance to learn!

Of course, Red River Zoo also include many other more familiar animals like Meerkats, Tamarins and Bison and over 80 other species from around the world. You better take a camera!

Kids can also meet some cute domestic animals at the Children's Zoo Farm, complete with rabbits, cows, hogs and goats. Playful fun for the little ones!

While strolling through the park don't miss a magical ride on their fully-restored 1928 Allen Herschel Carousel either.

Across the year, Red River Zoo hosts fun events that can make that zoo experience even more exciting! Parents Night Out gives the kids a chance to spend an evening at the zoo enjoying animal encounters and movies whilst parents, you get a night to yourselves!

Pint Sized Explorers is geared for kids aged 4 to 6 years, and allows them to meet the animals in the cooler months, as well as participate in a number of activities including crafts and hands-on animal interactions!
