Pymatuning State Park 4.6 (reviews)

Pymatuning State Park isn't the biggest but it sure crams a lot in! In fact, the size is due to the fact that the area is split up into smaller units which are sprinkled all along the shoreline of Pymatuning Lake.

The majority of this popular state park is located in Pennsylvania. In fact nearly 22,000 acres are! The rest sneaks into Ohio. 

Love fishing? Great! Pymatuning Lake is one of the best fishing lakes in the area. Here you can catch walleye, carp, perch, crappie, bluegill, and a host of other species.

Love being out ON the water? Floatboats, motorboats, rowboats, canoes and motorboats are available for rent from the 3 marinas bordering Pymatuning Lake. It's a fun way to see the park from a completely new angle!

There are four managed beaches within Pymantuning State Park, safe but non lifeguarded, each with bathhouses and facilities. There are also several campgrounds within the park.

Think it's only summer that you can enjoy the fun at this Pennsylvania state park? Winter activities include ice fishing, ice-skating, ice-boating, sledding, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Phew, that's a lot of family fun!
