Well, there is 12 acres of wilderness in the heart of Brooklyn, and it's known as Prospect Park Zoo and this WILD attraction can be the destination for your next family day out!
Prospect Park Zoo is home to domestic farm animals, nocturnal creature zone, and reptiles, animals and amphibians from all over the world, and they are ready to meet your family!
Kids can come face to face with species such as Golden Lion Tamarins, Baboons, Aracari and Marmoset.
Discovery Trail is fun for kids to explore as they try and spot the Red Panda draped over a branch enjoying a midday snooze!
Right in the heart of the park you can find the sea lions which tend to be some of Prospect Park Zoo's most popular residents. Watch out, they can be noisy!
Youngsters can meet prairie dogs nose-to-nose, and walk among wallabies. Some of the smallest residents are in the Hall of Animals, including the popular dart frog.
The Discovery Center is designed to connect the younger visitors with nature, and help build a conservation ethic that lasts throughout their lifetime, so it's a great stop for them! Here they can interact with animals, and even conduct a pretend vet check up!
Don't miss the sea lion training sessions too, where kids can see these fun creatures in action.
Plenty of animal fun in Brooklyn for the family to enjoy! So why not pop down and say hi to the adorable creatures that call it home!
