About Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden
Come on kids, the wild is calling and it's calling you to Oklahoma City Zoo & Botanical Garden!
It's here kids can meet animals from ALL over the world, from the gran lions, to the stripy zebra, and the playfully cheeky monkeys.
Oklahoma City Zoo is home to more than 2,200 exotic animals, with plenty of opportunities for kids to learn all about them as they explore the many exhibits.
Kids can meet some amazing elephants up close, or explore the wonders of nature through play at the Children’s Zoo Barnyard, complete with miniature donkeys, goats, and rare chickens!
Not only that, kids can enjoy a number of activities and experiences throughout the day, some with a small additional cost, including a ride on the Centennial Zoo Choo, or play in the water stream on those hot days!
The Endangered Species Carousel is always a popular favorite, or kids can meet some very special Asian Elephants at the Sanctuary Asia pavillion.
Don't miss the animal feedings and presentations either, as they offer even more learning opportunities for those curious little ones!
Of course, let's not forget about the gardens either! The entire Zoo is an accredited living museum and botanical garden with more than 30,000 specimens of flowering bulbs, unusual and hard-to-find plants, and more than 100 Oklahoma native species, and 29 of these are listed as rare!
Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanic Gardens are also home to the largest, walk-through outdoor Butterfly Garden in Oklahoma. Pretty cool!
So why not enjoy a WILD day out in Oklahoma with the family. You never know what you might learn!
