Norris Paddling Adventures is all about one thing, and it's in the name....ADVENTURE!

This Tennessee hire company let's you hire top of the line watercraft, to enjoy a day out on the water, surrounded by incredible nature!

They offer both single and tandem kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, canoes, and even those funky new hydro-bikes! You can pick them up for an hour if you're not quite sure, or you can take them out for a full day tour if you are feeling a little more adventurous!

Any why not make a day of it. You can take a lunch, spend some time swimming, and just have a great family day out having a great time, and kids can get that exercise they love.

You know what's great about these activities? It's not just for adults! Young children and even pets can have a great time!

Norris Lake is where you can enjoy the day, and it's only 30 minutes from Knoxville. The water is clear, and mellow, and you get beautiful temperatures in summer! There is also a beautiful state park nearby that you can explore.

Norris Paddling Adventures provide you with all of the kit that you need, and they even offer instructions for those boating beginners.

Feeling not so sure? Why not take up a class! There are two to choose from, with either the kayak or the stand-up paddle board. They cover launching, basic strokes, and everything you need to have a great time!

Doing our bit

They take safety seriously, so all of their staff are trained properly, and John the owner is certified in wilderness first aid, as well as nutrition!

Any top tips when visiting?

Make sure you're protected from the sun, as it can be worse in the water. Make sure you take a hat!

Teachers corner

The classes are a great way to get used to the water and the equipment. The trained staff will help you really get an understanding, and you'll be safe too!

Does Norris Paddling Adventures have healthy eating or Vegan options?

It's always a great idea to keep bottled water and healthy snacks for energy in your bag so you can keep that energy up as you enjoy the water

Is Norris Paddling Adventures fully accessible?

If you have any questions just ask the staff, but you do need to have upper body strength for kayaks/canoes, and mobility for paddle boards
