New Hampshire Boat Museum
About New Hampshire Boat Museum
It's all about boats at the New Hampshire Boat Museum, featuring many of the finest examples of vintage mahogany and antique boats on a rotating basis - these include Garwood, Century, Dodge, Hacker and more.
Also in the museum are runabouts, canoes, guide boats, race-boats, and even sail boats - there are so many different types of boats to explore!
No matter if you are a steam enthusiast, or paddle lover, or can't get enough of sailing, the New Hampshire Boat Museum has you covered!
Also within the exhibits are archival photos, models and trophies among other items, that bring the stories and the history of the grand era of boating to life.
Make sure you stop at the museum's Family Fun Center, because there it's ALL about the kids! In fact, parents can explore the exhibits and young kids can enjoy a great time in this space just for them, or enjoy it together!
Kids can try their hand at knot tying, as well as other skills, or play I-Spy! Maybe they want to test their skills on a scavenger hunt with the family to find special objects throughout the museum (and the winner becomes a Junior Admiral!), or challenge their creativity by building boats with LEGO!
Why not build a virtual canoe and see if it floats or sinks, or practice those artistic skills by coloring boat scenes - all sounds like the Family Fun Center is a day visit in itself - Phew!
So get ready to set sail in New Hampshire at this popular boat museum for the whole family!
