New Beverly Cinema
About New Beverly Cinema
New Beverly Cinema is backed by no other than Quentin Tarantino, who has a personal hand in booking much of the programming. You'll find old-school film formats and the walls are decorated with a large collection vintage European movie posters.
Quentin Tarantino does much of the monthly programming, and has started a weekend kid matinee series too, so you'll be able to see one of the 35mm movies any week of the year!
Make sure to download the monthly calendar on the website so you know what the upcoming shows are. All shows are presented in 35mm unless noted in 16mm, bringing an old school exprience to a movie theatre.
It was voted cinema of the year in 2018 at the Kodak Film Awards and is one of the best independent movie theatres in LA.
You won't see any blockbusters here, but there's lots of classic films that can be enjoyed for all ages and film enthusiasts.
At the kid matinees, under 12s will receive a free bag of popcorn too! The cinema is in a building which dates back to the 1920s and is one of the oldest revival houses in the region and is a must visit!
