About National Naval Aviation Museum

Are you excited to visit one of the MOST visited museums in the entire state of Florida? Let's go...or rather...shall we fly?

The National Naval Aviation Museum is the opposite end of the museum spectrum. It's certainly not a dusty, don't-touch type. In fact, THIS museum is jam packed filled with interactive exhibits, amazing collections and other activities that older children will adore.

There is SO much to do and see at this incredible museum. Kids can learn al about the rich history of Naval Aviation, and actually get to see up close over 150 restored aircraft, that all represent the Navy, the Coast Guard Aviation, and even the Marine Corps.

With 350,000 sq ft of exhibit space, there is plenty of room to house them! There is even a HUGE 37 acres outside just waiting to be explored too!

Kids will love to discover the interior of some of their favorite aircraft by visiting the Cockpit Trainers Exhibit on the Second Deck of the South Wing. And it's so interactive!

The family can climb inside these cockpits, move the control stick, flip switches, and pretend that you are actually flying! The playing of radio transmissions heard by actual aviators approaching an aircraft carrier add to the experience!

The National Naval Aviation Museum also have two state-of-the-art MaxFlight Simulators.  Under your control, these one-of-a-kind simulators are capable of air-to-air combat and stunt flying. How cool is that!

Combined with patented, fully interactive 360 degree pitch and roll technology, kids and adults are sure to agree that MaxFlight is one of the world’s most exciting indoor attractions!

Don't miss the Motion-Based Simulator is a five-minute, multi-sensory experience that combines a movie-like audiovisual presentation using a high-definition projection screen and surround-sound, with the motion of the ride compartment.

We haven't even told you about the IMAX Naval Aviation Memorial Theatre, that is ten times bigger than a normal screen! PHEW!
