About National Museum of Mexican Art
You don't have to travel to Mexico to be inspired by Mexican art - you just need to be in Chicago at the National Museum of Mexica Art!
The whole family can immerse themselves in the richness of Mexican culture, and they welcome families of all backgrounds!
The National Museum of Mexican Art showcases 3,000 years of creativity from both Mexico and Mexican heritage within the USA.
Located in the heart of Chicago's Mexican community, the museum allows you to explore their permanent collection of 10,000 pieces, that also travel to museums around the globe when not on display in Chicago!
The museum is the only Latino museum that is accredited by American Alliance of Museums, so they take great pride in celebrating and preserving Mexican culture, history, and of course art.
Throughout the galleries you will find information on the art in both Spanish and English, and all of the art is displayed in a way that shows the care and love that the curators have for these pieces!
Today, the museum is one of the most prominent first-voice institutions for Mexican art and culture within the USA, and they are in fact home to one of the nation's largest Mexican art collections!
Don't miss the cultural program held across the year including theater, dance, music, and more, sharing the rich diversity of Mexican culture even more.
Are you ready to immerse yourselves in the rich and fascinating heritage of Mexico? We hope so, because we certainly are!
