About Museum of World Treasures

Kids, we don't want to get you excited, but would you like to experience a trip through time at one of the most interesting and exciting museums in America? If you said yes, then you'll be happy to know we're off to the Museum of World Treasures, and yes, this Kansas museum is filled with some pretty incredible artifacts!

Each of the exhibits within the museum tell so many stories, and feature artifacts from all around the world and across time.

In the Fossil Hall, you can take a look at what life would be like to walk right next to our prehistoric favorites, the dinosaurs. Kids can learn all about how dinosaurs lived through the fossilized skeleton of Ivan the T-Rex, as well as Ed the Edmontosaurus, and others.

Did you know that the Great Plains were one home to prehistoric sea creatures? That's right, Kansas was once under an ocean, and was once home to Logan the Tylosaur who you can now see in the Museum of World Treasures.

There's an exhibit on the Cenozoic Era, which was a time when mammals dominated the land and fish filled the waters just after the extinction of the dinosaurs, you can also explore incredible minerals and stones found within our Earth.

But the Museum of World Treasures isn't just about fossil and geology. There's a fascinating exhibit on the Civil War, where you can see real artifacts that were used in the conflict, as well as an exhibit on WWI, as well as an exhibit dedicated to the forgotten heroes.

Did you know you can see a piece of the Berlin Wall at the museum? There's also an exhibit covering the Founding of America, with artifacts showcasing Colonial America (you might be lucky to see Alexander Hamilton's actual coat when it's on display too!)

From Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and Africa, there are SO many amazing things to see in this Kansas museum, you might just need to visit for yourselves!
