The Museum offers exhibits and programs centered on images and artifacts showcasing the area’s rich history in a friendly and accessible format.
Housed in the 1939 John Shary Building, a designated Texas Historical Landmark, the fascinating collection includes early maps, artifacts from ranching and pioneer days, and exhibit material representing the Texas Citrus Fiesta, local sports figures, military heroes, Mission’s founder; John J. Conway, La Lomita Mission and the estate of John Shary; the Father of the Texas Citrus Industry.
MHM strives to engage and inform their visitors about local history through innovative exhibits and programs. They also offer regular but varying events, from popular movie showings to boundary survery reports via recipe competitions!
