About Merry Go Round Museum

A whole museum dedicated to the iconic merry-go-round!?  Why not!

The relaxed and beautifully set out Merry Go Round Museum will take you back through time as you learn about the history and art of these favourite pastimes.

The museum takes old, broken run down carousel pieces and restores them with love and care to their former selves.  It's history coming back to life.

You can even ride on a full restored Allan Herschell Carousel complete with the band organ playing.  Parents will be taken back to a time of their childrenhood, while kids will love the simplicity of such an experience, and the joy it brings.

You can see the process of crafting these beautiful horses with their wood carving workshops which helps people understand the beauty and importance of these iconic rides.

It's an incredibly charming and fascinating day out for the family! Plus don't miss keeping and eye out for special events that the museum hosts - so make sure you put the dates in your diary so you don't miss out!
