About Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum

It's time for a WILD day out in Kentucky at the Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum! You don't need to even leave Kentucky to come face to face with some of the most beautiful and rarest animals on our planet. In fact, since 1969, Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum has been giving families a chance to see animals up close - much closer than you would in a zoo.

The museum features nearly 14,000 sq ft of mounted wildlife, from the gran tiger, to the proud bear, and curious leopards. You can even see the Snow Leopard - one of the rarest creatures in the world!

Also within the museum are deer, sheep, ox, and so much more. Check out the smaller animals too, including marine life, insects and birds - so a trip to the Butterfly Room is a must!

As you stroll through the museum, you get to see all these animals in their natural environments, to really gain an understanding of not only what these creatures were like in the wild, but where they lived too

With over 1,600 specimens of wildlife, you really will get to walk on your WILD side at the Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum, where the animals are waiting for you to visit!
