About Madison Childrens Museum

The Madison Children's Museum is ALL about learning through play, so kids, if you LOVE to play, then this might just be for you! The Madison Children's Museum is home to a number of interactive exhibits that allow kids to discover, create, be inspired by, develop and learn from. No matter what their age or their learning ability, they will find something for them!

The Art Studio is a drop in project zone where kids can use a huge variety of mediums to get creative in a supportive atmosphere, with features including window painting and a shadow room.

The Community Concourse offers interactive gear and water exhibits plus public art and ball runs and other kinetic material.

Their authentically restored log cabin offers kids historical role play with period activities such as quill writing and butter churning available. Just use those imaginations kids, and pretend like you are living in a different era!

For play they have Possible-opolis for over 5s and Wildernest for under, both offering highly imaginative, whimsical and interactive features with age appropriate activities!

Kids can explore the great outdoors in the heart of downtown Madison on the Rooftop Rumble, and throughout the year there are always fun special events going on too! 

They offer Baby Date Nights where parents can have just as much fun as the kids, and the Madison tradition of Tea & Trains too!

They strive to make Madison Children’s Museum a place for all ages to a play and explore. Staff working the museum floors receive assistance training to help welcome guests with multiple different needs. Adult and child-sized wheelchairs are available for use by individuals with limited mobility. All floors are accessible via elevator
