It's always nice when you live in, or visit, a city, that you find some cool and fun outdoor space for the family to play. Well, Louisville Waterfront Park is your place in Louisville!

This exciting and vibrant family park is 85 acres of fun for the whole family, no matter what age! First and foremost, it's a great place for the kids to get out into nature, enjoy the sun and have a place where they can play and run around.

There are gardens to explore, water features to enjoy, and lawn areas to picnic on. Of course, there are also play areas for the kids, as well as an Adventure Playground which is great for those active kids to climb, hide, swing and laugh!

What is different about Louisville Waterfront Park to your other parks, is that there is always something going on! They have events and festivals right across the year, which are always super fun for the families to get involved with.

How about Baseball Friday Night Fireworks? Sounds pretty cool doesn't it! If you want a bit of culture, they have festivals honoring writers like Hunter S. Thompson. If you love learning about the environment, they have events like Mighty Kindness Earth Day Hoot, with local music, free workshops, food trucks, and activities for the kids. 

For those active families, you can enjoy yoga on the waterfront, or try and take on the challenge of a 5K run (or walk...!) They even have challenges on the river which combine cross country, road racing and running! Check out the great memorial to Abraham Lincoln too!

See - we told you that Louisville Waterfront Park was a super cool park for families! Don't miss a chance to walk across the Big Four Bridge from here too! The bridge is open 24 hours, and is only accessible by foot or bicycle and offers amazing views of the Ohio River!
