About Long Island Aquarium

There's a world of adventure to see - and explore - all waiting for you at Long Island Aquarium! Formerly known as Atlantis Marine World, this underwater adventure allows the entire family to explore some of the weird, beautiful and wonderful creatures that live under our waters.

Not only that, Long Island Aquarium offers some pretty unique experiences for you too! You can try you hand diving with sharks, snorkel with rays, or pop in on some penguins!

Of course, there are all the exhibits to explore by foot too, and experiences that will keep you dry! Your whole family can work their way around the interactive exhibits and kids' features.

There are more than 100 exhibits and interactive experiences, including the 120,000-gallon Lost City of Atlantis Shark Exhibit where kids can learn all about one of the most misunderstood creatures of the deep.

You can marvel at life in the Amazon Rainforest which reminds us of our responsibilities of our planet.  Kids can come face to face with American Alligators, or see one of the largest all-living closed-system Coral Reef displays in the Western Hemisphere!

There are colorful fish to study, electric eels to marvel at, and some pretty incredible jellyfish to check out!

Fancy going back in time? You might want to check out the Megalodon display, and if you thought sharks teeth were scary, this will make you glad you weren't around millions of years ago!

Then you have the outdoor exhibits complete with adorable penguins, grand sea lions and even playful otters!

With hands-on interaction at Ray Bay where kids can pet a stingray or shark, Touch Tanks, turtles and SO much more, Long Island Aquarium will have you singing "oh i like to be, under the sea" in no time at all!
