About Living Arts and Science Center
The Living Arts & Science Center (LASC) was created as a not-for-profit organization all the way back in 1968 to "provide creative and unique opportunities for exploration and education in the arts and sciences" - and that's exactly what they still do!
Today it's not only become a trusted creative resource and a stimulating force that makes Central Kentucky a better place, but it also give kids a safe and creative place to learn, create, discover and explore!
The Living Arts & Science Center inspires kids to participate in art and science, and they engage the local community through discovery, education, exploration and creativity.
To do this, they created hands-on and interactive experiences, classes and programs for all who visit in arts and science - all created directly from professional educators as well as active scientists and artists! Pretty cool!
Activities within Living Arts and Science Center include collaborative experiences, educational programs in schools, as well as free programming for members of the Central Kentucky community.
They also offer education tailored to special needs, at risk and underserved children and adults.
The staff and board of directors support this mission through maintaining high ethical standards and efficient oversight of the LASC.
