Lake Guntersville State Park is 6,000 stunning acres packed full of beautiful nature, along with some exciting activities for kids too including zip-lining, watersports, golf, fishing, hiking and biking trails and more!
Resting along the banks of the beautiful Tennessee River in Northeast Alabama, Lake Guntersville State Park is a resort-style retreat as well as an outdoor adventure in the natural woodlands.
If it was golf that took your fancy, there is an 18-hole championship golf course where you can try for those holese in one!
For a bit more of a thrill, try your hand at the Screaming Eagle Zipline which might just take your breath away! Enjoy and soak up the sun at the beach complex, or take your time to explore an outdoor nature center.
Love fishing? Great! It's just as well that Lake Guntersville State Park also has excellent fishing in Alabama's largest lake, AND if that wasn't enough, get those walking shoes on and take to the 36 miles of hiking and biking trails. If it's hiking you love make sure you don't miss the weekly guided hikes, and a day-use area.
One of the main attractions at Lake Guntersville State Park soars high above all the others and that's all thanks to conservation efforts! Alabama's nesting bald eagle population is increasing, and the area has actually become a focal point of Eagle Awareness in the state.
Each year on select weekends in January and February, the Park’s Eagle Awareness programs is there to entertain and educate the public about their once endangered national symbol and is a not-to-be-missed experience for kids.
