About Lake D'Arbonne State Park
Louisiana is an incredible state, filled with diverse and unique landscapes. Some of those landscapes can be experienced right in Lake D'Arbonne State Park! It's just waiting for those adventurous families to get out in the sun and have a great time!
Lake D'Arbonne State Park is a HUGE 655 acres of land and filled with rolling hills, pine forests, fishing piers and of course that beautiful lake. This quiet state park focuses on adventure, relaxation, and nature, and has a host of facilities that will help you have the best day possible!
We mentioned the size of the park, but we didn't mention the size of Lake D'Arbonne itself. That is a HUGE 15,250 acres, and is surrounded by boat docks and fishing piers. There are freshwater species such as crappie, bass, bream and catfish that makes fishing in the lake a popular pasttime.
Then of course, there are those wider sections of the lake that is perfect for boaters and water skiers. And why not! There are flat bottom boats as well as canoes for rent, and life jackets come with the rental so there is no excuse!
Those little ones will love the kids playground that they can spend a few hours on just jumping, crawling, climbing and hiding, whilst the family enjoy a picnic out on the grass.
Lake D'Arbonne State Park also lets you get out into nature with the 4 trails, which range from 1 mile to 4 miles, so pick the best for the family and try and spot that wildlife!
If you want to extend your family day out, there are cabins and camping opportunities, which are great if you want to grab a few more families to join in and really make an experience out of it!
