Knock Knock. Who's there? Plenty of learning for kids through play in Baton Rouge, that's who!

Knock Knock Children's Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering a creative space where families and kids of all backgrounds and experiences can interact, and enjoy an educational experience through play. Sounds pretty great to us!

This fun Baton Rouge experience is 26,000 sq ft of fun, hands-on and interactive exhibits called "Learning Zones", all of which offer various teachings in the STEAM subjects. They great thing about Knock Knock is that their exhibits are SO much fun, kids won't even realize they are even learning as they play the day away!

Knock Knock Children's Museum exhibits focus on the development of the whole child with the goal of not only increasing early literacy skills (being reading, writing, listening, and speaking) but also expanding their knowledge and raising interest in those popular and important STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, art, and math)

Perfect for kids up to 8 years of age and their families, this playful children's experience also offers high-quality learning experiences for children living in under-resourced environments and poverty, as well as helps close the knowledge and early childhood education gap.

Limited stroller parking is available on level zero of the museum.

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Knock Knock Children's Museum?

Visitors can bring their own food and beverages that can be enjoyed in the museum foyer or in their backyard. Food and beverages are prohibited in the exhibit space with the exception of bottled water.

Any top tips when visiting?

With the purchase of a general admission ticket, you are welcome to leave and return to Knock Knock Children’s Museum in the same day. Upon re-entry, you must go through the admissions line and verify payment by showing your stamp Re-entry does not apply to special programs, such as Field Trips and Birthday Parties.

Teachers corner

They are excited to have summer camp field trips back at Knock Knock every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons! Visitors can expect a higher than normal traffic level from 1 pm - 3 pm on these days. If you want to take your students to Knock Knock, just give them a call to arrange! You can also arrange a Virtual Field Trip too

Is Knock Knock Children's Museum fully accessible?

Knock Knock is a place for children of all abilities to play, explore and be themselves. Their museum will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in their public spaces and learning zones. Visit their Access and Special Needs page on their website for more information

Any additonal information?

A guardian must accompany a child throughout the museum so you can't drop off children and then head out. Guardians must be 18 years of age or older.
